First RoSBNet Workshop - 14-16 September 2009
The first RoSBNet workshop will be on the 14, 15 and 16th of September 2009 in Oxford.
The entire event will be held at St Annes' college, a 10 minute walk from the Centre of town.
Oxford is accessible by car, train, bus and coach. It is within easy reach of Birmingham Airport, Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport and Southampton International Airport.
Year 1 - Low Level Structures
Biology Theme: Constructing simple function network motifs (switches, oscillators, etc.) from standardised parts.
Electrical/Computer Engineering Theme: The "Art of electronics" - building transistors, op-amps etc.
Control/Systems Engineering Theme: Understanding the robustness of simple biological and electrical circuits.
Universal Topics: Ethical, economical, philosophical, legal and societal issues. Measurement methods at different scales and organisational levels
