RoSBNet Research Focus and Core Meeting

A Research Focus Meeting is being held on Wednesday 12 January 2011 at Worcester College (Ruskin Building) from 10.00am – 5.30pm. Short talks will be given in the morning by some members covering their research interests and vision for synthetic biology which will be used to inform discussion groups in the afternoon. The Core Meeting will be held over lunch from 1.00 – 2.30pm to discuss the 2nd Workshop held in July 2010 and to finalise arrangements for the 3rd Workshop taking place on 20 – 22 July 2011 at St Anne’s College, University of Oxford. Members attending the meeting can participate if they wish.

Research Focus Talks

10 minute talks will be given by members on their Research Interests and vision for synthetic biology. Topics of Interest will used to inform the Focus Group Sessions in the afternoon.

Location of Meeting

Worcester College is conveniently located in the Centre of Oxford (along from the Ashmolean Museum at the end of Beaumont Street) and is close to the Gloucester Green Bus Station and Oxford Train Station. The meeting will take place in the new Conference Facilities in the Ruskin Building Please report to the lodge on arrival, they will be happy to give directions through the College grounds.

Travel Information

Information on the best way to travel to Oxford by Air, Rail, Coach or Car can be found here Car Parking within Oxford is extremely limited and expensive. If you are travelling by car it is recommended that you use the Pear Tree or Water Eaton Park and Ride Facilities.
